My wife usually forgets she needs assistance getting up to walk. She sits in her chair in our bedroom watching TV, while I'm in the kitchen doing my thing. I placed the camera on the TV stand facing her chair, and have the monitor in the kitchen. This setup is perfect and has made my life easier. I received the unit, plugged it in, turned it on, and it paired just like the instructions said. The picture on the monitor is amazingly clear, and the communication between the two units is quite clear as well. Great investment for a reasonable price.
